IDEaS Marketplace 2022

Overview

The Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program of the Department of National Defence (DND) is launching a new element called “IDEaS Marketplace”, which will be held at the Infinity Convention Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, on June 3, 2022, from 8:00 to 12:30. 

This new initiative will provide the opportunity for innovators from the first Call for Proposals and who are currently at a high Solution Readiness Level, to showcase the solutions they developed through the assistance of the IDEaS program to potential end-users.  Invited guests will include:
 
  • Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces "(DND/CAF)"
  • External government partners
  • Industry

Each innovator will be provided with a booth on the exhibition floor, and an opportunity to pitch their solution in a five-minute presentation. This is a great networking opportunity and a chance to connect with innovators.

These dynamic presentations will cover a number of challenges faced by the DND/CAF.  Some of these themes will include: 

 

  • Human Performance Enhancement
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Maritime Surveillance
  • Robotic Systems
  • Chemical, Biological and Radiological Hazard Detection
  • Identification and Classification of Space Objects
  • Advancements in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries
  • And many more…

Participation in this event is FREE but is by invitation only and attendance will be limited so please register by May 13th, 2022, to secure your spot!

  • Attendance for the IDEaS Marketplace event is by invitation only and is limited to individuals from the Defence and Security industry and representatives who are from a recognized government department and/or program.
  • The IDEaS Marketplace program and agenda will be posted when they are available.
